A Different Plan Of Salvation For The Jews?

Many Christians and Jews seem to believe that God has one plan of salvation for the Jewish people and another plan for the rest of us. They think that Jews, by their birth because they are God’s chosen people,¬† have a guaranteed ticket to eternal life with God. Although Saul (the apostle Paul) of Taurus, a Jew,and a zealous one at that, taught there is only one way to God and Heaven, many of the Jewish people reject Paul and the entire¬† New Testament. However, one can see God’s plan of salvation in the Old Testament as it has never changed. Using Abraham, the father of the Jews, as our example, how was he justified in God’s eyes? What was it Abraham had done for God to credit him with righteousness? Was it because Abraham obeyed the law of circumcision? No, this was 14 years before Abraham was circumcised. Was it his obedience to the sacrificing of his son Issac? No, Issac hadn’t even been born yet. How about church attendance or being baptized? No, those was no “church” in Abraham’s time. Was it obedience to the Mosaic law or the Ten Commandments? No, this was many, many years before the time of Moses. So just how was it God credited righteousness to Abraham’s account (justification)? Scriptures tells us that Abraham believed God.

Genesis 15:6: “Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.”

Abraham not only believed in the existence of the one true God, he believed the promises of God. It is an easy thing to believe God exists, for even the devil believes in God and trembles, yet satan and his demons of course do not possess salvation.

In John 8:56, Jesus said : “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.” Abraham knew about a coming Redeemer. As Hebrews 11 also points out, Abraham died having the faith that someday he would see Christ.

Galatians 3:28 says: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

The Scriptures clearly teaches that salvation is faith alone in Christ alone. God has only ONE plan of salvation for both Jews and Gentiles.
